St. Mary's is extremely efficient and effective in the administration of the church with a strong stewardship program and a well-run church office. Vestry, committee members, church school teachers, and church leaders operate as an integral part of the whole community. Committees are re-invented each year and are fully involved in the church budget and are committed to a process of transparent financial reporting. Members financial commitment to the church in the fall stewardship program provides 99% of the operating expenses of the church. The Administration Committee are responsible for the administration of the accounts, staff, and buildings and grounds.

Financials

Transparency
Church expenditures are intentionally visible. There is a requirement for all expenditures to be documented and reimbursed in order to avoid any false illusion of the Church's standing. St. Mary's carries no debt and our church and rectory are in the best shape they have been in for years. We have some limited financial resources entrusted to our St. Mary's Foundation through various endowments and such funds are not used for operating expenses

Church

punch list

Through a dedicated team of volunteers, the Church continues to be well maintained with work specifically prioritized in line with the budget. The committee frequently review expenditures on oil and electricity and continually looks for economic improvements however small they may be. Every year the committee successfully reduces punch list "TO-DO'S" but maintenance is a constant focus year-in and year-out.

Grounds

master gardeners et al
Administration organize spring and fall workdays to stay on top of the maintenace of the grounds. Weekly maintenance of weeding, leaf blowing and grass cutting are shared on a rotor basis by volunteers. The recent formation of a "Master Gardeners" group will help further to beautify our grounds with new plantings and ideas.

Rectory

Home sweet home
Administration is also responsible for the maintenance and well being of the rectory. The home was recently painted and spruced up in 2011 in anticipation of the arrival of Mother Gadsden and her spouse, Linda March. Capital projects, like the recent replacement of the oil furnace, are generously supported by grants from St. Mary's Foundation
